Who We Are

Rosmaru Expeditions is a online travel company that specializes in guided, small group adventures around the world.  We are a dedicated bunch of travelers that have worked in the adventure travel industry for over 18 years. We are Natural History Guides striving to find ways to continue sharing experiences around the globe. We have worked in over a hundred countries and have run many of the trips we offer here. Our unbiased experience and dedication to the client experience is paramount.

Capitalizing on our knowledge and experience, we are able to discern the good from the great, and present you with the very best adventures in each area we cover. We want our clients to experience the trip of a lifetime, and with this in mind, we work with only with the best operators in each destination. This focus enables us to provide our clients with unparalleled experience and service.

Many people ask about our name, Rosmaru Expeditions and where it comes from. The word Rosmaru has no formal definition. It is derived from the scientific name for a Walrus (Odobenus rosmarus). While there are many important creatures in the arctic, the walrus has long held a special place in our hearts. Immortalized by many of the northern cultures, these massive beasts are an integral part of the people and culture of the north.  We have had many wonderful and exciting encounters with Walrus and each time we are left with a sense of wonder and awe.
